Sand Blasting & Powder Coating of a Tower Assembly for the Construction Industry

Master Powder Coating was recently contracted to apply a high end powder coat finish on a tower assembly, for the St John Fisher Church in Palos Verdes, CA. Unlike standard powder coating applications, the tower required powder coating material engineered especially for architectural use.

Manufactured by Tiger Drylac, the powder coat material we used provides exceptional protection against corrosion and retains its color and gloss for a minimum of 10 years. In the coating industries, surface preparation is the key to a long lasting quality finish. Our highly skilled sandblasting operators perform according to industry standards. They rid the tower assembly of all contaminants, impurities, and foreign material, leaving the surface a Near White Blast Metal (SSPC-SP-10) finish. Following the blast, our experience staff detailed and prepares the tower assembly for its initial Zinc-Rich primer coat. Once the primer has been fully cured and inspected, our highly experience applicators apply the final architectural coating. The end result is far more than what the eye can witness. The finished exterior appearance was phenomenal, however what makes this project stand out is what took place before the final coat. Our attention to detail in the preparation phase will ensure that the finished powder coat will provide aesthetic beauty for years to come.
